We believe that parents are the primary religious educators of their child and we seek to reinforce what the children are learning at home. We offer both English and Spanish Religious Education programs for the children of St. Joseph parish. We teach about Catholic doctrine as well as the beliefs of the Catholic Faith. We provide opportunities to experience and celebrate our Catholic Faith through the Liturgy, the Sacraments and parent Catechesis. The Catechism Program is open to children ages 4 ½ - 14 (pre-school - 8th grade) whose parents are registered parishioners of St. Joseph Church.
All programs of the Office of Faith Formation would not be possible without our many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering in either of our programs, the Diocese of Kalamazoo require all those 18 years and older to attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop and have a background check. Please contact the Office of Faith Formation if you would like more information.
